Michael's
mum, Estelle, has recently been rather ill, so a
weekend up there to visit with her was a good idea.
There
are three siblings: Betty, Doug and Estelle.
Betty
is the eldest, and lives in Nelson.
Doug
is, as they said, 'the meat in the sandwich' and is next. He lives
in Australia.
Estelle
is the 'baby', and lives in Nelson.
Estelle
was rather up and down during the weekend, as she is still getting
all her myriad of medication sorted out.
Michael
and I went and visited Betty, who had Doug staying with her.
Laurie Henderson made this crocodile nut cracker YEARS ago! SUCH intricate work!
Brock's wife, Sarah was staying in Nelson for the weekend also.
She stayed with her grandparents, and her mother came down from Paraparaumu.
So it was a little family re-union!
I met them at Richmond Mall for afternoon tea.
Myself, Sarah and Karina (Sarah's mum).
Grandma Pat, Sarah and Karina. Three generations.
Not to forget - Granddad Gordon!
Mike carving the Sunday roast.
(Thank's Paul, it was BEAUTIFUL beef!)
Heath and Nan!
Resting after lunch
A good old reminisce!
Doug came to stay for a few days.
The three siblings!
The 'meat in the sandwich'.
He has been SO good to his sisters helping them with loads of 'man jobs'!
With Sarah, Mike and Heath.
